We never found out the story behind this building, but as we passed it every day, Jacquie and I began to invent stories for it, including of course that it could be our house when we returned to Sofia one day. The building was set back from the street (Macedonia Blvd), surrounded by an iron fence, and well taken care of. It does look a bit like a church. But it was always empty whenever we walked by.
